I've been trying to decide what Marcello will be driving in the comic. Here's a couple very quick sketches of the contenders.
For a while, I was sure it'd be a Mercedes 300SEL 6.3. It's a rare car, quite fast for it's time and makes a statement about his tastes for understated performance.

Now, I think it might be an early Datsun Z. By itself, not much of a statement. Completely tricked-out with all period Japanese speed parts, it's a rare bird and reflects on Marcello's tastes and personality. Definitely not understated, but still a lot of interesting surprises lurking under it's skin.

The 240Z, even though i am a little biased since i am currently restoring my 74 260Z. But the 300 SEL 6.3 is a beast of a car, i drove one a couple of years ago very quick for such a large car.
